Local Outreach

As a church we prayerfully and physically support local ministries and needs.  Some of the ministries we support through our budget, services, and prayers are:

  • Feed the Elderly (Formerly Meals on Wheels)

This ministry helps provide high quality meals for elderly members of our community.  One week out of every 6 members from our church take charge of the delivery of these meals.  The requirements to volunteer in the ministry is a driver's license!  Watch the upcoming events for our next delivery week so you can join in with this meaningful opportunity.  Call 336.835.2453 for information about this service to our community.

  • La Montaña

This is a special ministry began and run by members from our own church.  Based in the Spring Valley Apartment community, our members help school-aged children with their homework.  This tutoring opportunity also gives our members a chance to share the love of Christ through actions and words while they meet with the children. Please visit their Facebook page for more information.

  • Life Line Pregnancy Care Center

Our church believes in the sanctity of human life and this belief drives us to actively and financially support Life Line.  For more information, about services and opportunties at the Center, please visit their website.

  • The Ark

The Ark is a shelter for those in need of temporary lodging.  Beyond simply providing a roof, The Ark also helps residents with job placement and other needs for more long-term solutions to difficult problems.  Visit their website for more information on their services and how you can volunteer to help.

  • The Toy Store

Our church is an active member of the Elkin Baptist Association.  The Toy Store is a ministry of the association that provides Christmas presents for children of those in need in our community and surrounding areas.  This annual ministry impacts dozen of families as they receive gifts as well as a clear presentation of the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Click here for more information about The Toy Store and the Elkin Baptist Association.

  • Thread of Hope

A Thread of Hope is a sewing ministry that makes prayer lap quilts.  The quilts are tacked representing a prayer with each tack.  The meetings are held on Thursdays from 9:00-11:30 AM in the old fellowship hall.  This is a great ministry for men and women to help us pray and bring hope to those who need it.

  • Tri-County Christian Crisis Ministry

Tri-C is committed to helping those who are in need of food and other basic needs.  Our church supports the work they do right here in Elkin and Jonesville through donations, volunteers, and prayers.

  • Your Father's House

This ministry is focused on helping men break free from addictions that have damaged their lives.  Located about 8 miles from the church, Your Father's House is closely connected with our church and brings a group of men to worship with us each Sunday morning.
